Apple 'flew' 6 cargo planes to ship 1 million iPhones from India to beat tariffs

Apple moved iPhones from India to America. This was to dodge possible tariffs. The company chartered cargo flights for this. About 1.5 million iPhones, weighing 600 tons, were shipped. Apple also sped up customs clearance at Chennai airport. India is becoming more important for Apple’s manufacturing outside China. Foxconn and Tata are key suppliers.
