CJI Khanna recommends Justice Gavai as successor
After a 15-year interval, Justice B R Gavai is set to become India’s second Chief Justice from the Dalit community, following CJI K G Balakrishnan. Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna has recommended Justice Gavai, the most senior SC judge, for the position.
