“He meant excellence”- Ex-basketball player Kareem Abdul-Jabbar pays tribute to MLB’s first Black player Jackie Robinson

Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies honored Jackie Robinson. They gathered at Dodger Stadium to remember the MLB legend. Baseball and basketball stars like Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Roki Sasaki and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar were present. Abdul-Jabbar shared his childhood memories of Robinson. Every team wore No. 42 jersey. Managers Dave Roberts and Ron Washington spoke about Robinson’s lasting impact.
