How Trump is wrecking international students’ lives & careers
Since 9/11, international students in the U.S. have faced increasing scrutiny, particularly under the Trump administration, with SEVIS data being weaponized. Minor infractions, political activity, and research interests have led to targeting, causing fear and self-deportation. Despite the role of International Offices in fostering global culture, they are also ICE’s first stop for deportations, jeopardizing the legacy of intercultural education.
