India promises to support Myanmar towards switch to democratic future
PM Narendra Modi emphasized the need for early restoration of democracy in Myanmar during a meeting with junta chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. Modi expressed condolences for the recent earthquake and discussed India’s humanitarian efforts. Both leaders agreed on cooperation against insurgent activities and crimes along the India-Myanmar border.
