(ANI) India will tour Australia in October, November this year for a bumper eight-game, eight-city white-ball trip which includes three ODIs and five T20Is. Cricket Australia announced the dates for limited overs series involving India and South Africa on Sunday, having already announced Ashes dates earlier.The 2025-26 ‘season’ will be the first ever to feature men’s international cricket in all eight Australian states and territories, with Canberra and Hobart set to host India during their five-game T20 series.Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. Gold Coast’s Carrara Stadium will then see T20 action along with the traditional venues, the MCG and the Gabba.India are returning after a gripping five-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2024-25.”We smashed many records for attendance, viewing audiences and digital engagement last summer and we’re confident that this incredible momentum will continue throughout what promises to be an engrossing season,” Cricket Australia’s outgoing chief executive Nick Hockley said.”We are extremely grateful for the cooperation and support of all our government, venue, broadcast and commercial partners who ensure Australia’s national sport continues to deliver brilliant experiences in stadiums and drive participation across the country.”Preceding the series against India will be a three-ODI, three-T20I clash against South Africa. It will witness the first internationals played in Darwin in 17 years, with Cairns and Mackay also to host the Proteas in August.Mackay previously hosted the Australian women’s team in 2021 and 2024, but the Great Barrier Reef Arena (Harrup Park) has seen just one men’s international—a 1992 World Cup match between Sri Lanka and India—which was abandoned after only two balls due to wet-season rain.This year’s series brings top-tier men’s cricket back to Far North Queensland for the first time since New Zealand and Zimbabwe played in Cairns and Townsville in 2022.
