'It was close, but China changed because of tariffs': Trump on TikTok deal
US President Trump stated that a TikTok deal was nearly finalised before China altered its stance in response to new US tariffs. Following an additional 34% tariff on Chinese imports, Trump mentioned that a reduced tariff would expedite the approval. TikTok has extended the deadline to find a non-Chinese buyer by 75 days.
