Mumbai: Animal activist Nisha Subramanian Kunju wins the AWBI Jeev Daya Award
Nisha Subramanian Kunju, an activist from Mumbai, received the Jeev Daya Award from the Animal Welfare Board of India for her contributions to animal welfare and environment conservation. Kunju has spent nearly three decades rescuing animals and vaccinating stray dogs and cats. She is also involved in tree plantation initiatives to enhance Mumbai’s green cover.
