President Murmu departs for Vatican City to attend Pope Francis' funeral
President Droupadi Murmu has departed for Vatican City to attend Pope Francis’s funeral, accompanied by Union Ministers Kiren Rijiju and George Kurian, along with Goa’s Deputy Speaker Joshua De Souza. She will offer condolences on behalf of India and pay homage at Basilica of Saint Peter. The funeral Mass at Saint Peter’s Square will be attended by global dignitaries.
